YEAR of the GARDEN

The House of Commons officially has officially recognized 2022 as the Year of the Garden to commemorate Canada’s horticulture sector with a nation wide goal to plant gardens and containers in a RED colour theme all across Canada.

Haldimand is getting ready to celebrate the Year of the Garden on the first day of Spring March 20, 2022  and will emphasize the theme at the 2022  Seedy  Saturday on March 26    with activities for the whole family.  This is an opportunity for long time gardeners and those just beginning to get involved in planting a small garden to get free seeds, listen to speakers or attend a workshop.
