A great big thank you to the volunteers for your support and assistance at Seedy Sunday. The success was due to the dedication and assistance given by our many members and their families. There were also volunteers who magically appeared who were not on the roster. Haldimand Horticultural Society is a true community leader.
The members, McKinnon Park Secondary School Students, Scout Leaders, Scouts and Parents worked together like a well oiled machine. You are ALL AWESOME!!!

Pine Basket weaving demonstration
Marilyn Sutor a member of Haldimand Horticultural Society since 1988 enjoys this artistic craft by braiding long pine needles that have been collected from pine trees and then coiling them to create a beautiful basket, sometimes embellished with ornaments, wood or glass beads. Marilyn will be demonstrating her skills and explain how to weave a pine needle basket using an old tradition of creating decorative objects from native trees.
