Pine Basket weaving demonstration
Marilyn Sutor a member of Haldimand Horticultural Society since 1988 enjoys this artistic craft by braiding long pine needles that have been collected from pine trees and then coiling them to create a beautiful basket, sometimes embellished with ornaments, wood or glass beads. Marilyn will be demonstrating her skills and explain how to weave a pine needle basket using an old tradition of creating decorative objects from native trees.
